I just found out about this Dutch singer Jo Goes Hunting through my 'Discover Weekly' on Spotify. He makes indie-rock and is based in Rotterdam.
I really like his album 'Come, Future'. One of my fav songs is the rock song 'Winner'. I have always liked songs which change somewhere in the middle. The first part is a bit rough and aggressive (all relative though), whereas after 1'17'' he finds a kind of calm and understanding of a love rejection. When listening to both music and lyrics, you really start understanding it.
Another super nice song is the last one (haha funny that I mainly like the very first and very last song of the album, maybe he did this on purpose?). This one is called 'Call me', which is a super dreamy melancholic song. The album is also called a 'break-up record', where he continuously is accepting it or is scared and hurt by it, wanting her back.
I really love album with a story. I saw that he will perform on 27th of May in the Hague and on 10th of June in Antwerp. Maybe I should go and see him :)
